One of the grandchildren is missing, Charlotte, Lisa and Mark's daughter, because she had to go home early. The picture was taken on Crystal Mt, with Mt. Rainier in the background.
That is Charlotte, the one missing in the top photo above, on the right and Juliet on the left, fourth from the left in the top photo and now a few years older.
This is a photo of Scott Rampton, not in the top photo but an important member of the family nevertheless, Jenny's significant other of fifteen years or so. Jenny is the fourth from the right in the top photo. They both spend a great deal of their time hiking, backpacking, and skiing.

Sam, Miles, Carly, and Lucas are grandchildren of Ron and Janis, and children of Joel and Tracie. They are here older versions of themselves in the picture at the top.
Jan, the grandmother in the center of the top photo, died last year (2016) on June 27th. Here interment ceremony can be found here. Everyone else is doing well. Sam, second from the left, is at this time a sophomore at Gonzaga University. Charlotte Gottlieb, daughter of Mark (on the left of Jan) and Lisa (third from the right), is a sophomore at Temple University. Miles, on the left, is attending South Seattle College in lieu of his Senior year in high school. Violet, Juliet Lucas and Carly are in various stages of middle school and high school.
Lisa Schoenberg Gottlieb, married to Mark Gottlieb, is a Full Professor at Cheney College, the oldest Black College in the country. Mark Gottlieb teaches at Haverford high school.
Jenny, fourth from the right, has worked at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center for many years now.
Joel has recently taken a position at Cisco, the computer peripherals company.
Ron, sixth from the right with his arm around Jan, is retired, but continues to work part-time developing math and statistical software for clients.
